The border of Nepal where it meets India is 1758 km long  (1092 mi.)

It's porous...easily crossed...and full of small villages with children who are at risk.

We share a message of hope along with a clear warning in villages and at the border crossings.

Two Pictures ~ Two Stories

First Story ~ India

India has 1.3 Billion people.  Nepal has only 29 million.  But the young Nepali girls with fair complexions are sought after by Indian men.  There is also a myth that having sex with a virgin will cure you of AIDS and HIV.  So traffickers make their way to the villages and create networks to lure the girls into India with stories of salaries and job futures. The girls are taken from their homes and communities to work as sex slaves in the brothels of Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Siliguri or Kolkata. This is a life of abuse and fear; a life without hope. This picture below is of India compared to Nepal.  The two heavily populated Indian States of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh have vast populations and offer job opportunties to many Nepali's who can travel back and forth from country to country. This creates confusion as to what may be a real job and what are traffickers' promises.

A Trafficked Girl can sexually serve as many as 19 or more clients in a day during festival seasons.

Second Story

Most of the border area is comprised of villages.  Here the people are very rural and susceptible to the tactics of the traffickers. Here's a picture of North India with Nepal shown at the top.  Just four Indian bordering states have a population that nearly equals that of the United States.  The girls are taken from their homes and communities to work as sex slaves in the brothels of Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Siliguri or Kolkata. This is a life of abuse and fear; a life without hope.  OUR MINISTRY GOES TO THE VILLAGES AND SCHOOLS.  We travel and talk to individuals, groups of parents, in the streets, in the fields, in the village squares, and in the schools.  OUR MINISTRY IS 100% PREVENTION.

Girls are as young as nine and ten years old.  They think they are going to bring joy to their families because they have a job...they live in continual pain instead.

Why wait till they are trafficked?

That's the question our founders asked themselves back in 2009.  Why not come up with a program that deters the trafficking and saves the girls before they are scared and traumatized.

We've chosen the areas in Nepal where most of the girls are trafficked from and have systematically conducted outreach and educational events ever since.

Village life...

A community will sometimes use a common well.  We've held meetings around these centers with as many as 75 people listening.

In a village you will get offered tea (chai) and rice if you're lucky.  But the smile is free.  Most live on less than $75 a month

Kids everywhere love to have their pictures taken, don't they.  Their hearts are tender and life at this stage is simple.  Let's protect them.
