We’ve watched and learned over the last decades as numerous NGO’s and Western groups have arrived in the Himalayas to be involved. We’ve learned from the mistakes of others and our partnerships are solid, measurable, and accountable.We are committed to finding people of integrity, consulting with them, working with them, and empowering them.Long term projects are built slowly, but have long term impact. These are the ones that get our attention first. Change happens on a continuum.We want our donors to have lasting impact. We know that projects that affect society and that have long-term cultural effects can be complex and difficult to understand.We are committed to implementing projects as close to the cultural norm as possible. We work with local groups, creating trust and openness. This process allows research, planning, and consultation with the most knowledgeable people we can find who are versed in all the aspects of the projects we take on.We take seriously the responsibility of partnerships. Our ministry affects the daily lives of men and women who labor where we in the West don’t often travel. We take the strong commitments with our Asian staff very seriously. Families’ livelihoods, children’s education, and basic needs depend on the gifts we receive from donors here. We want to show honor to those working in Nepal and India and give the respect they deserve.Any project that we take on will be done in accordance with the wisdom, guidance, and direction of indigenous Christians and coordinated by the partnership in the United States. Together we embody the Body of Christ.We are committed to seeing Christian partnerships produce a good testimony in the villages we go to. Integrity, honesty, and compassion are marks of our ministry.
